Is there a way in Macola to print an entire form including logo, boxes, etc. with the printer rather than having to pay a printer to do that for us?

Yes this is one of my specialties. Reform by Fabsoft allows you to print on plain paper, or fax or email forms as .pdf attachments. This is a very cool software. Please let me know if you want a demo.

The integrated Crystal reports will do the logos etc. if you modify them. They won't do invoices yet. But can do reprints.

Crystal has the added disadvantage that it will not update the database. For example when you print a pick ticket, the status changes to 4. Crystal will allow you to print a document, but the database is not updated.

Reform also allows you to email as a .pdf attachment and fax forms, plus you can calculate fields. For example I have a customer that has both items and service codes on its invoices, and they wanted a line at the bottom of the invoice stating how many items shipped. Macola cannot do this unless you also purchase Flexibility.

Link forms are another Reform strength. With link forms, I can print a pick ticket AND automatically print shipping labels for the items on the pick ticket. Or you can automatically print the MSDS if the item shipped has one.

Also, you can archive .pdf copies of your forms. Imagine an AR collector making phone calls only to get the response that the customer has misplaced the invoices in question. Since they are already archived as .pdfs, rectifying this is as simple as right click, send to, email recipient.

In summary Reform is the best package I have run into as a forms solution for Macola. Check out www.fabsoft.com for more details.

You can automatically email the .pdf without event manager, its is simply a part of the print job from Macola. Let me know if you need help with this.
