Help. I'm having a problem with the Serial/Lot Visual Trace view. No matter which item and it's S/L code I use, I never get the Final Disposition option. It is always grayed out. Please help! Thanks.

Ok, I can get the Final Disposition but only if the item is the final item we ship to the customer. I cannot get the Final Disposition if I use an item that is a component in the final item.

Are these lot controlled or serialized components? Is the parent also lot or serial controlled?

Yes, all components and finished good items are S/L controlled.
Thank you.

Items are either serial controlled, lot controlled, or neither. "Yes" is not a valid answer. What are we dealing with here? For the parent - is it serial or lot? For the components - same question.

Really basic but please make sure the invoice is posted as well.

Sorry about that - every thing is LOTTED. Yes, invoices are posted. We are trying to look at items that have shipped in the past. Since we are FDA controlled, we are trying a "mock" recall.
Thanks.

Please make sure the serial/lot transactions for the dates in question actually exist. This table could've been purged. Go to IM->Reports->History->Serial/lot issue or IM->View->Serial/Lot where used.

All the serial/lots are there. We never purge.

Did you actually check that the IMLSTRX records exist? Not the serial lot masters, but the transactions themselves?

I cannot recreate your issue, but the above would definitely do it.

What version are you on? Has Exact weighed in on this?

I didn't see any OE Issues in that screen shot. Are they there? Assuming this is the end item.

This 50-0230 item is a chemical component. There would not be a Order Entry order for that item.

OK are there other OE issues in the table? I can see the SF issue for the component, which makes sense. But if the higher level item doesn't have an OE issue in the table, BOOM! Serial lot visual trace will fail.

I'm on pure speculation that for some reason, OE Issues are not showing up in the table.

Where is a S/L Where Used for an item that ships to the customer.
