One of our e-Synergy servers is configured to not allow large files. The problem is that when you try to store large files, e-Synergy never tells you that the save failed. You get the same screen as if the operation was successful.

e-Synergy should not fail silently. The user should be presented a pop-up or other warning to the effect that "Warning! Attachment not saved"

I think this should be a change request to Exact.

Lee,

In e-Synergy (batch 340 and onward) if you have your document settings set to restrict document attachment sizes, and you try to create a document with a larger attachment you will get the following message at the top of the screen:

Error: Attachment should not exceed 1000 bytes

Where the setting in this case was set for 1000 bytes as an example.

Our's is a known problem with an OS server setting, not an e-Synergy setting, so I'm not blaming e-Synergy for not storing the file; I do think that any time a save fails for ANY reason, e-Syn should detect that and inform the user.
