Has anyone had any experience extending workflow using event manager? I want to create a workflow with multiple approvals in series so I'm considering the use of event manager to monitor the approval in one request and create a new request with a link to the previous request. I'd also like to put a link to the new request in the old request so that I have forward and backward links.

Is there guideance on doing this or has anyone done this type of thing before?

Thanks,

Mike Devine

I know it is possible to generate a request based on the status change of the other but I don't know that you can link them together. I haven't found really any good documentation on Event Manager yet but the user guide does show how to get the basic workflow going.

I was able to have event manager trigger on the approve of one request type and in response generate another request linked back to the original request. It's pretty slick. Now I'm considering how to create the forward link.
