What role can I assign to a reseller so they can reactivate accounts. I tried reseller manager and customer account manager.
Thanks

Assuming you can add more than one role to a reseller (like an employee) I would create a new role with just the function right 292 - Edit of account status, type customer( I would test this make sure it is the right one) and add that to the roles he already has. That way you can always pull that functionality if it becomes an issue (also you are not giving more rights than you want).

You might create a request in Synergy that a Reseller could create. This request should have the Account Field within the request. Then use the Event Manager to turn the specific Account from Inactive to Active, based upon this request being Approved (or Created)

Using comments would allow you to put a reason why the account is being reactivated.

I already tried a new role with 292 and several other rights and it didn't work. I might try the idea of a request and event manager.

Thanks,
Jim

I just thought of something. If the Account is inactive the reseller won't be able to pick it in the request. We hide all inactive accounts.

Why not create a Custom ASP Page that would be Reseller Specific that would show all Active and Inactive Accounts assigned to that reseller. That should be a simple asp page to create.

This way they could find the Account Number that is needed. In the Request, place that Account Number found in a free field and link the absenses table field to the Cicmpy field (debcode or cmp_code) which could find the proper Acoount Number for the Event Manager to turn the status to Active.

When an Account is Inactive, their Reseller continues to show on their Account Card.
