We are experiencing a severe case of index fragmentation in many tables of our Macola 9. After running reindexing, the fragmentation goes to below 80% in a week or two.
Some table examples are provided below.
My question is this. From the database theory, transactional table (those that are updated frequently) shouldn't be indexed, because indexation would slow down transaction flow. What needs to be indexed are the tables often used for look-ups and reads, not those used for constant write access. It seems that these tables are transactional tables. Would removing indexes from them altogether have any negative impact on performance?
