Hello,

We had a power surge problem in our building and I have a small challenge. Five orders had been keyed into OE but not yet posted. The power went out. Afterward...

1. All of them show up in OE > View > Orders screen as "open" so I know they are somewhere in the system.
2. None of them are posted to the general ledger.
3. None of them show up in AR.
4. None of them print on the pre-posting report.
5. None of them print using the "print" option nor the "re-print" option.
6. There are no batches associated with the orders.
7. The orders are not in "Sales Order" so we can not credit.

These items seem to be in limbo. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Thank You! MVD

Can you open up the order in OE?

Yes. When I go into OE > View > Orders/Invoices I can see the orders (they have an order status of "Open"). I can click on it and open it to see the detail but the buttons on the bottom are greyed out.

Also, found something else last night. I managed to print a Order Edit list (which usually means that the items have not been invoiced) yet I do have invoice numbers listed for them in the View screen. Bizarre...

Thanks!

Double click on one of the orders, then click on 'Order Header'. What is the status of the order?

Hello,

The status is "1" - Booked Order.

FYI - The billing coordinator had to move ahead and re-key the orders but I still need to find out how to delete/purge these five original orders. So please, keep any questions and ideas coming...

Best Regards, MVD

Here are the sales order statuses;

• C=Credit Hold
• L=Closed Order
• 1 = Booked Order
• 4 = Pick Ticket Printed
• 5 = Picked
• 6 = Pack Slip Printed
• 7 = Shipped
• 8 = Selected
• 9 = Invoice Printed

A booked order is simply an order that has been entered, but had no other actions taken against it. You should be able to open these up through the sales order entry screen and simply delete them if they are no longer required.

Yes, I know I should be able to but I can not. The orders are in the drop down menu and, when chosen, I get the error message - "Order already invoiced. Access denied"

The usual is not working. I need to find the unusual. LOL

Open up the oeordhdr_sql and oeordlin_sql tables in SQL Management Studio. Can you see anything out of ordinary with the raw data itself versus another newly created order than you can open up in order entry?
